What to Expect During a PCA Chemical Peel

Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. One of our licensed estheticians will perform a gentle cleanse before beginning your peel.

You’ll be asked to wear a top that leaves your face and neck exposed for treatment comfort. The esthetician will start with a deep cleanse, followed by the application of the peel solution using soft gauze to the targeted areas. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation as the solution activates and rejuvenates your skin.

After several minutes, a hydrating moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF are applied to calm and protect your freshly renewed skin.

Treatment Time

Before your peel, we perform a thorough skin analysis to determine the best treatment for your unique needs whether you’re targeting acne, rosacea, sun damage, wrinkles, or laxity.

The PCA Chemical Peel is a quick yet powerful treatment, booked for 30 minutes, with the active process typically taking 15–25 minutes.
Please arrive on time, as appointments are scheduled within precise time frames.

After the Peel: What to Expect

Following your treatment, mild pinkness or warmth may persist for up to 24 hours. Your skin will appear brighter and more radiant almost immediately.

Over the next 3–5 days, light flaking may occur as old skin sheds to reveal fresh new cells beneath. Skin may feel slightly tight or dry you can apply moisturizer several times a day as needed.

Please avoid manual exfoliation for at least 10 days after treatment to allow the skin to heal naturally.

Is the Treatment Painful? Will I Break Out?

Most clients experience only mild tingling or warmth during the peel, with minimal discomfort. If you notice any sensitivity afterward, the PCA Post-Peel Kit will help soothe and protect your skin.

This treatment will not cause breakouts in fact, it often helps prevent future congestion and promotes clearer skin.

How Often Should I Get a PCA Chemical Peel?

Frequency depends on your specific skin goals and condition. In general, peels can be performed every 2 to 4 weeks for optimal results, depending on your skin’s tolerance and desired outcome.

Your esthetician will create a customized treatment plan designed for your long-term skin health and glow.

Post-Treatment Care

To ensure proper healing and beautiful results, please follow these aftercare guidelines:

Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily and avoid sun exposure for at least 14 days
Use your PCA Post-Peel Kit as recommended to protect and nourish the skin
Avoid exercise, sweating, and swimming for 48 hours post-peel
Avoid tanning beds for 3 weeks
Do not pick or pull at flaking skin allow natural exfoliation to occur
